The SE25K-RWR0IBNZ4 is a three-phase commercial inverter with grommets for DC wiring connections. It does not have MC4 connectors.
Theinverter is also equipped with type 2 DC surge protection and surge protection device (SPD). In terms of communication, two RS485 ports and one Ethernet connection are integrated. It is possible to connect to the inverter via wifi. However, a separate antenna is required for this. The SolarEdge SetApp can then be used for commissioning and monitoring.
The RS485 connection is possible via two ports that are standard in the inverter. An Ethernet port is also available. It is possible to use a wi-fi network, but this requires a separate antenna.
Arc protection, leakage current and surge protection are also available. Electrical arcs are not uncommon. They occur, for example, in the normal use of switches and plugs. Arcs that take on certain dimensions, for example due to defects, can be harmful or even lead to fire. Leakage currents also occur. Often they are innocently involved and are easily disposed of. If a person comes into contact with a component that is exposed to leakage currents, this can lead to dangerous situations. Leakage current protection ensures that the system shuts itself down within 20 to 40 ms once a person comes into contact with the circuit. This prevents electric shock.
A DC safety unit with a switch is located below the inverter. This switch is a two-pole DC switch. This ensures that both the neutral and phase wires will be interrupted, leaving the entire system without power. The SPD will protect the system from overvoltage caused by, for example, a lightning strike.
